Accessibility statement

Accessibility is part of product readiness.

NEXT is intended for people with varied literacy, disability, technology access and support needs. BriteLink designs for accessibility while clearly distinguishing internal practices from independent certification.

Current practices

Perceivable

Readable type, strong colour contrast, text alternatives for meaningful images and content that does not depend only on colour.

Operable

Keyboard-visible focus, semantic links and controls, reduced-motion support and responsive layouts.

Understandable

Plain language, short sections, consistent navigation and explicit instructions.

Adaptable

Mobile layouts, browser zoom support, structured headings and opportunities for staff-assisted delivery.

Internal review completed

BriteLink has reviewed the public NEXT information structure for heading order, keyboard focus visibility, reduced-motion support, responsive reflow, link naming and minimum text sizing. This is an internal product review—not a third-party WCAG audit. Learner workflows still require screen-reader, keyboard-only, zoom, mobile and cognitive-accessibility testing with representative users.

Known limitations and roadmap

  • No independent WCAG conformance audit has been completed.
  • AI-generated learning content requires ongoing review for reading level and structural consistency.
  • Audio support does not remove the need for equivalent readable text.
  • Partner-specific documents and uploaded materials may require remediation outside BriteLink’s standard interface.
  • Formal testing findings and remediation status will be published as evidence becomes available.

Accommodation and implementation

Organizations should identify accommodation needs before enrolment. Some learners may require assistive technology, alternate formats, extra time, interpretation, staff assistance or a non-digital option. A digital platform is not appropriate for every learner or context.

Report a barrier

Email hello@britelink.org with the subject “Accessibility”. Include the page or task, the barrier and the format or support that would help. BriteLink aims to acknowledge accessibility feedback within five business days. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information.
