Frequently asked questions
Clear answers before you consider a pilot.
NEXT is intentionally specific about what the platform does, what it records and where human professional responsibility remains essential.
What is BriteLink NEXT?
NEXT is a digital learning layer for organizations delivering reintegration, justice-serving, workforce-readiness and major-transition programs. It provides structured learning between staff touchpoints and records participation, completion and knowledge-check activity.
Who is NEXT for?
NEXT is designed for community organizations, employment and training programs, justice-serving agencies and other programs supporting adults or youth through significant transitions. Each implementation must define its intended population and safeguarding requirements.
Does NEXT replace case managers, counsellors or instructors?
No. NEXT supplements human-led programs. It does not replace counselling, case management, teaching, clinical care, legal representation, probation or parole supervision.
Does NEXT provide legal advice?
No. Justice-related content is general educational and system-navigation information. It is not advice about an individual matter and does not create a lawyer-client relationship.
What can an organization measure?
The platform can report observable learning activity such as assignments, module starts, completion, knowledge checks and pathway progress. Employment, housing, wellbeing or recidivism outcomes require separate measurement and should not be inferred from course completion.
What information should partners enter?
Only information necessary to create accounts, assign learning, support access and produce agreed reporting. NEXT is not intended to hold detailed legal case files, clinical notes, correctional records or unnecessary sensitive information.
Is NEXT already independently audited or certified?
No independent security, accessibility or outcomes certification is currently claimed. NEXT is an early-stage product preparing for structured pilots. Product safeguards and claims are described transparently on the Trust and Policies pages.
How does a pilot work?
A pilot defines the cohort, pathways, staff roles, timeline and success measures in advance. The organization tests learner fit and operational value with a limited implementation before considering broader use.
Can content be tailored?
A pilot can configure pathways and assignments around a program’s goals. Any customization, integrations, language requirements or accessibility work must be scoped with the organization.
Who founded BriteLink and who is accountable?
BriteLink was founded by Keisa Andries, an educator and investigator with an Educational Studies degree specializing in Digital Technology and professional experience in investigations, Trust & Safety and anti-discrimination work. She is the current Product Lead and designated Privacy Lead.
Does NEXT provide mental-health care?
No. NEXT may provide general learning about wellbeing, communication, routines, self-advocacy and finding support. It does not provide therapy, diagnosis, crisis monitoring or treatment recommendations.
Who reviews NEXT?
BriteLink is formalizing a multidisciplinary external advisory group. No unnamed advisor or organization is presented as an endorser. Advisor names and review responsibilities will only be published after roles, conflicts and permissions are documented.
How are technology providers reviewed?
BriteLink uses external infrastructure providers for hosting, authentication, database, storage and selected AI-assisted functions. Detailed provider and data-flow information is shared with qualified institutional partners during due diligence rather than published as part of the public site.
How do we discuss a pilot?
Email pilots@britelink.org with your organization, program population, approximate cohort size, desired timing and the learning or implementation evidence you need. Do not send participant records or sensitive case information.
Still have a question?
Email hello@britelink.org. Questions about a proposed implementation are answered in the context of that organization’s population, workflow and obligations.
