Role-based access
Organization members receive defined roles, and institutional data is protected using database row-level access policies.
Trust & responsible delivery
NEXT is being developed for organizations serving people who may face digital, economic or justice-related barriers. That requires clear limits, careful access controls and realistic claims about what the platform does.
Organization members receive defined roles, and institutional data is protected using database row-level access policies.
NEXT should collect the minimum information needed for access, program delivery and agreed reporting. Intake data should not become a dumping ground for sensitive case information.
Learner records, assignments and progress are separated by organization. Staff access is limited by organizational role.
Modules use clear language, short sections, simple navigation and low-friction layouts. Accessibility needs can be recorded so programs can plan appropriate support.
Justice and reintegration content provides general education and system-navigation information. NEXT does not provide individualized legal advice.
NEXT is not clinical care, counselling, case management, probation/parole supervision or legal representation. It is a structured learning layer that can sit beside those services.
Credibility depends on separating what NEXT can evidence from outcomes that require broader evaluation.
Trust claims should be inspectable. BriteLink publishes the current architecture boundaries, providers, AI rules, safeguarding responsibilities, complaints route, implementation plan and evaluation rules.
The current MVP includes separate NEXT institutional tables, organization-scoped permissions, role-based staff access, learner account linking, assignment controls and restricted module progress. These are product controls, not a substitute for a partner’s own privacy, consent, records-management or legal obligations.
